Recycled Penny Coin Guitar Plectrum or Pick
د.م.15.00
Description
A guitar pick hand cut with a fine-bladed jeweller’s saw, from a pre-decimal bronze penny coin. This one is from 1912 and the reign of George V. (other dates may be available but bear in mind that for this use, the thinner the better and the older they are, the more worn they’re likely to be.) Despatched wrapped in tissue paper and organza bag via the Royal Mail standard service in the UK. (Extra items added to the order will need an additional postal charge and upgraded to my usual Royal Mail Signed For service). Cleaning guide provided. Recycled in Lancashire. This penny is obviously not in mint condition, it reflects decades of daily use. This is stock and ready to go. If you would like a particular year, this will take time to make. These coins were minted until 1967 (though not in every year) but I have most of the years they were available. I’m using the older ones for guitar picks, rather than the more “recent” dates, as these are more worn and slightly thinner, so more suitable for practical guitar use, rather than the jewellery I usually make from the later dates. FYI Bronze – 95% copper, 4% tin, 1% zinc. Bronze represents the 8th wedding anniversary in the traditional calendar and the 19th in the modern version.
